About Us

Our Mission

To improve the quality of life of those affected by Parkinson’s disease through supporting community outreach programs presented by the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center (MAPC) in Phoenix, AZ. We will support the MAPC thru fundraising, community building, advocacy and increasing awareness to the community regarding Parkinson’s disease.

Empower yourself by becoming better educated about Parkinson’s disease. Support those living with Parkinson’s through their journey. Connect with others through social, educational and recreational programs.

Our History

The Parkinson Network of Arizona, a voluntary alliance, was formed in September of 2006 to support the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center outreach programs through fundraising, community building, advocacy and increasing public awareness.

I Am the Beat of Another Song

We thank you for hearing our story, told by songwriter José María Lobo in the captivating song “I am the Beat of another Song - Parkinsong”. We hope it will become a tool to raise awareness and give a voice to the Spanish speaking Parkinson’s community around the world.  Together we can advocate for the unique challenges of not only Latinos but all people with Parkinson’s disease.
